POETRY SLAM
Bloomington Poetry Slam is excited to for our February slam! This year, we will be shaking things up with an exciting line-up of features! This month's feature is the amazing, eclectic, Gia Shakur (read about her below). Join us for a night of camaraderie, music, dance, and some life changing spoken word. Music graciously provided by DJ Good Peoples.
Open Mic starts at 8:00pm.
Poetry Slam starts at 8:30pm.

Gia Shakur is a writer, photographer, workshop facilitator and
visual artist based in Harlem, New York. Her work has been featured in Joint Literary Magazine, The Broadkill Review and A.R.T.S.Y. Magazine. In March 2016, she released her self-published chapbook, Sample Size. Currently studying English Literature and French
at Essex County College, she is a graduate fellow of The Watering Hole writing retreat and founder of Spider Rose and Black Inc.
