Presented by Spirit of '68 HEATERS
Heaters
===
HEATERS is Andrew Tamlyn, Nolan Krebs and Joshua Korf.
Old high school chums, Tamlyn and Krebs moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan, in the summer of 2013 to start working on a project together. The two met Korf, their next door neighbor, soon after and quickly started writing and recording tunes in their home studio.
This past year saw the trio make some tremendous leaps, spewing out a handful of homespun EPs, split records, an appearance on Stolen Body's Vegetarian Meat psych compilation, a soon to be released 10" on Dizzybird Records, and sharing bills with artists such as Jacco Gardner, Holy Wave, Gringo Starr, and more.
The group has drawn acclaim across the webosphere for their spacey, driving take on West Coast psych rock. Tapping into both the twang of their '60s garage compatriots and building their own brand of expansive, cosmic swells, Pitchfork calls the band "catchy and kinetic," noting their "energy and hook writing are clearly on point."
Combining a seemingly constant output of "reverb coated, fuzz studded, hard driven garage psych" with a kaleidoscopic, hip-shaking live set, HEATERS are quickly forging something new and exciting.

Despite being born in a location that couldn't be farther from a psychedelic epicenter, Heaven’s Gateway Drugs creates a combination of freakbeat, west coast psych, eastern drone.
This description only addresses part of the psychedelic experience that is Heaven’s Gateway Drugs. It flows outward through liquid light projection, burning incense, and the inclusive mantra “You are Heaven’s Gateway Drugs.”
